The T. F. Chen Cultural Center
& New World Art Center opened on June 12, 1996 with a Retrospective
Exhibiton of Dr. Chen's artworks (312 pieces). This photo shows T.

The Center used to hold seminars related
to the exhibitons and activities. Here is an example. |

The Center held some large-scale
exhibitions, such as shows for 150 Japanese artists, 80 French artists,
60 Italian artists, 30 emerging contemporary artists, etc. Here is
a group show for African-American artists. |
The T. F. Chen Cultural Center sponsored many cultural
activities, such as poetry readings, film screenings, musical performances,
seminars on art, etc.

Association of Women Artists, Inc" with more than 200 members
took place at the T. F. Chen Cultural Center. (1998) |

The first Vietnamese group
art show in the USA after the Vietnam War, took place at the Center. |
Japanese artists' group show in the Center,
including oil paintings, sculptures, Japanese calligraphy, etc. |

The Tokyo TV Installation
show in the Center. The show attracted huge crowds of visitors with
its Japanese subjects and bold ingenuity. (Spring, 1999) |
